Mission



Our Mission	Multiplying fishers of men! This is our best understanding of God's purpose for our ministry.


Our Values	Fishing for men (Matthew 4:19) We value fly fishing as an instrument for sharing the Gospel and making disciples. Fellowship (1 John 1:7) We value the friendships and fellowship we share with other Christian men who share our passion for the Lord and Flyfishing. Removing Obstacles (1 Cor 9:19-22) We believe that, by sharing our experiences, tools and techniques, we can remove obstacles to the enjoyment of fly-fishing and participation in SJFF. Growth (Acts 2:42-47) We value growth, both as "fishermen" and as "fishers of men".


Our Vision	SJFF will be used to share the Gospel with those who don't yet know Christ, to grow the faith of believers, and to provide a network of Christian men sharing their lives of faith and works. SJFF will use our common interest in and passion for fly fishing to draw us into closer relationships with each other and the Lord. SJFF will be viewed by the Church and our communities as a Christ-centered ministry responding to Christ's Great Commission, growing "fishers of men".


Our Goal	To identify and remove all obstacles to men joining our SJFF group at any of our events and fishing trips.
